Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is the DualClimate Mattress Topper?
The DualClimate is a water-based, dual-zone temperature system that sits on top of your existing mattress. It actively cools or warms each side of the bed independently — all night, every night — so you and your partner can each sleep at the exact temperature your body needs. No smart bed required. No subscription. No app. Just better sleep — arriving at your door ready to transform the way you rest.
How is this different from a cooling mattress pad or heated blanket?
Cooling pads and heated blankets are passive — they react to your body heat and eventually equalise. The DualClimate is active: it continuously circulates water through the topper layer, pulling heat away from your body or delivering warmth directly to your sleep surface. Water conducts heat 25x more efficiently than air, which is why gel foam and cooling toppers feel cool for the first 30 minutes and then stop working. This holds your temperature all night.
Do I need to buy a new mattress or bed frame?
No. The DualClimate goes on top of the mattress you already own, secured with elastic corner straps like any fitted topper. There's no proprietary bed, no platform to install, and nothing to modify. If your mattress fits deep-pocket sheets (up to 18"), you're good to go.
What sizes are available?
The DualClimate is available in Queen and King. Both are designed to fit standard North American mattress sizes (US and Canada use identical mattress dimensions) with deep-pocket sheets up to 18" depth.
Queen - Standard Queen — 60" × 80" (US & Canada)
King - Standard King — 76" × 80" (US & Canada)
✅ Canadian buyers: Your mattress dimensions are the same as US sizes. The hub runs on standard 110V–120V power, which is exactly what Canadian outlets supply. No adapters needed.
What about Split King, California King, or other non-standard sizes?
The DualClimate is currently available in standard Queen and King only. Split King, California King, and other non-standard sizes are not available at this time.
I'm in the UK or Ireland — will it fit my bed?
UK and Irish bed sizes are different from North American sizes, and this matters before you order. Here's how they compare:
| DualClimate Size | US / Canada | UK / Ireland Equivalent |
| Queen (60" × 80") | Standard Queen | Closest to UK King (5ft) — slightly narrower |
| King (76" × 80") | Standard King | Closest to UK Super King (6ft) — slightly narrower |
In practical terms: the topper will sit on a UK King or Super King bed, but there will be a small gap on the sides. Whether that works for you depends on your bedframe and how your sheets fit. If you're unsure, please reach out to the support team before ordering.
Important for UK/Ireland buyers: The hub runs on 110V–120V only. UK/Irish outlets run at 240V. You would need a step-down voltage converter to use this unit — it does not run on a simple plug adapter alone. Please factor this in before purchasing.
International-native models are planned for a future release.
What temperature range can I set?
You get precise 1-degree control across a wide range on both sides:
- **Cooling:** 53°F – 95°F (12°C – 35°C)
- **Heating:** 77°F – 131°F (25°C – 55°C)
Most people settle somewhere between 62–75°F (17–24°C) depending on the season and personal preference. The system adjusts in single-degree increments — not a vague slider. You can switch the display between °F and °C at any time by holding the Function button for 5 seconds.
What are the three modes?
- Custom Mode — You choose a temperature; the unit holds it steadily through the night. Great for people who like to "set it and forget it."
- Auto Sleep Mode — Follows a 9-hour thermal curve that mirrors your body's natural sleep cycle, gently shifting temperature as you move through sleep stages. Two settings available (milder or more pronounced).
- Turbo Mode — Rapidly cools or heats the bed (53°F cool / 131°F heat) for up to one hour, then automatically returns to Custom Mode. Perfect for pre-conditioning the bed before you get in.
Can my partner and I set different temperatures?
Yes — in Custom Mode, each side is controlled independently using the Zone Selector button on the hub. One of you can run at 65°F while the other stays at 75°F. Both sides always share the same *mode* (you can't run Auto Sleep on one side and Custom on the other), but within Custom Mode each side is fully independent.
How long does it take to reach my set temperature?
Most people feel a noticeable change within minutes. Full temperature is typically reached in 15–30 minutes. If you want the bed ready when you get in, just hit Turbo Mode about 15 minutes before bedtime.
Is it noisy?
The hub runs below 30 decibels at standard settings — that's quieter than a whisper. Fan-based competitors like BedJet run at 40–50 decibels. Most customers don't notice it after the first night. If you hear anything louder than a gentle hum, make sure the hub is on a flat, level surface.
Is it safe to leave on all night?
Yes. The system includes a built-in 12-hour safety auto-shutoff. You can also set a manual timer from 1–12 hours if you prefer. It's designed to run through the night.
How hard is it to set up?
Setup takes about 15 minutes. Place the topper on your mattress, connect the colour-coded tubes to the hub, fill the reservoir, plug it in, and you're ready to go. Full instructions are included in the box.
What warranty does it come with?
Every DualClimate ships with a 1-Year Limited Manufacturer Warranty covering defects in the hub, tubing, and topper cover under normal use. An extended warranty is also available at checkout for longer-term peace of mind.
What if something goes wrong?
If you experience any issue, our support team will troubleshoot with you first — the most common questions are quick fixes. If a defect is confirmed under warranty, we'll arrange a return label and get a replacement shipped out to you.
