How loud are the air purifiers?
When they are running, you can expect a calming buzz, similar to a white noise machine. However, if you struggle to sleep with any noise, feel free to turn the units to their lowest air flow setting.
What is the difference between the True HEPA 13 and the True HEPA 14 filter?
The True HEPA 13 filter is classified as a general-use filter, with a faster air cycle time. It has a filter size of 0.3 microns and a filtration percentage of 99.97%. The True HEPA 14 is included free with your Air Sentry purchase, and is designed for the ultimate viral protection. With a smaller micron filter size (0.1 microns), the True HEPA 14 filter removes up to 99.997% of air contaminants.
Where should I place my air purifier?
We recommend placing them in the rooms where you spend the most time. Generally, people like to place them in the corners of their rooms, which is great! However for the best air circulation, you should place it as close to the center of the room as possible.
How long should I run my air purifier?
For the best air purification results, we recommend running your Air Sentry 500 continuously.
Do all air purifiers clean the same type of pollutants from the air?
No, not necessarily. Many air filters only use a general “HEPA” filter, which does a pretty good job of filtering allergens and dust particles. The UltraLux Air Sentry lineup has a powerful True HEPA 13 and 14 filter, as well as a carbon filter for other pollutant particulates, and a UV-C filter for killing bacteria and viruses.
How do I know if the air purifier is working?
Simply, you can hear when the fan is on. But to be more technical, the Air Sentry’s have an Air Quality Status feature, with illuminated symbols to show whether your air quality is bad, normal, or good. If this Air Quality Status feature starts out as red, but then transitions to yellow or green, you can be confident that your Air Sentry is filtering properly.
What is the difference between the Air Sentry products?
Each Air Sentry has a number of 100, 300, 500, or 1000. These numbers correlate with the square footage that the specific unit can purify air at their rated cycles per hour. So, the Air Sentry 100 filters an area of 100 square feet, up to 10x per hour, and so on.
