Molecular hydrogen is very safe. It has been scientifically studied for over 12 years, with nearly 1,000 studies and articles showing that it is safe. Hydrogen gas is naturally produced in the gut, which can produce liters of hydrogen after a fiber-rich meal.

The hydrogen in water is chemically bonded to oxygen, so in order to get the true benefits of molecular hydrogen, it needs to be separated from the oxygen and consumed in its gas form. This can be done through the electrolysis process in the water machine.

During electrolysis, water is shocked with electricity, causing a small amount of hydrogen and oxygen to convert to gas.
Typically, electrolysis also separates water into acidic and alkaline water. However, the UltraLux Water Machine uses electrolysis to harvest hydrogen gas (H2) without changing the pH of the water, and the resulting water gives you the benefits of molecular hydrogen.

Because Hydrogen Wate has a neutral pH, it is perfectly safe to take with medications. On the other hand, alkaline water is not the best for taking time-release medications. Time-release medications are a two-part pill designed to resist an acid environment because the stomach is very acidic. Alkaline water will dissolve tablets very quickly, so they will no longer have a time-release effect.

Yes, you can add ingredients to change the taste of the water. The amount of hydrogen that would be dislodged by this is minimal. Enjoy your water! 

In an open cup or glass, hydrogen will last three to five hours.

At most, hydrogen will last in water up to 10 days if the container is filled to the top — with no air space at the top — and the container is tightly sealed. After the container is opened and you take a drink, the hydrogen will last another three to five hours.

Not only is hydrogen a gas, but it is the smallest element. Because of this, it can escape through very tight spaces. So no, hydrogen gas will not be retained if you freeze UltraLux Water.

The most notable difference between alkaline and hydrogen water is the pH level. While alkaline water has a pH higher than 7, H2 Water is simply hydrogen-infused wither with no pH change.

Drinking alkaline water can alter your stomach’s pH levels, so we recommend only using this water for light cleaning and disinfecting fruits and vegetables.

RO stands for Reverse Osmosis. This process takes water from a low concentration and moves it through the filter to a high concentration by removing large molecule contaminants. The RO process is one of the most effective forms of water filtration.

RO membranes typically remove 85-92% of fluoride from water.

Since the UV light helps keep the inside of the machine clean, very little maintenance is needed. Simply change the CBPA Filter and the ROCB Filter when prompted by the machine’s filter replacement reminder. (See User Manual for instructions on changing filters.)

Your installation is based on you. We suggest preparing for the installation before the unit arrives. Most local plumbers and handymen can install our Water Machines. Once you order your Machine, you can contact a local plumber, handyman, or friend who is willing to install the machine. You can find many technicians on websites like Thumbtack and Home Advisors.

We reimburse up to $150 for any costs associated with the installation. You can fill out a form online or mail us the back the included card to get your reimbursement within 90 days of delivery.

Yes, anyone with basic plumbing knowledge or experience will be able to install this machine. If you would like professional help, we do offer up to $150 for installation reimbursement. 

The digital faucet allows you to choose between two water modes:

• Simple filtration (Only uses one filter and does not require electricity)
• UltraLux Water (Complete filtration, RO, UV-C, and H2. Requires electricity)

Yes! However, we strongly recommend that you install the UltraLux Water Prefilter in your line before the machine to extend the life of your machine.

Having too many filtration stages strips the water of all minerals, which are necessary for the hydrogen electrolysis process. By having 2-stage, it allows enough safe minerals to remain in the water for the hydrogen to be produced.

Since RO membranes can filter out bacteria, that bacteria can get caught and grow within the membrane. The UV light kills any bacteria stuck in the membrane so that when new water passes through, it does not pick up any bacterial residue. The UV light also gets rid of any bacteria that the RO membrane misses. Lastly, the UV light prevents bacteria and mold from growing inside the UltraLux Water Machine.

Prefiltration with the composite filter removes sediment that could clog or otherwise damage the RO membrane. In other words, the composite filter reduces stress on the RO membrane and extends its lifetime. 

Yes! You can disconnect your machine and take it with you. Disconnecting the machine is simple and will only take a few minutes.

It requires an under-sink machine so you will need to disconnect the water source line going into the machine and disconnect the lines running to the faucet. Remove the faucet from the sink. Unplug and remove the machine. Many people install a soap dispenser into the now empty faucet hole.
